Turf in Region D championship games??

Now I'm not sayin Honaker and Haysi prob couldn't do better than 3rd place, which is how Clintwood did this year, but this thread is about Rye Cove, now isn't it?? I would rank the 3rd best team in the Lonesome Pine over the best in the Cumberland any day. [img]graemlins/whatever.gif[/img] They seriously need to re-do the districts, and I think the Cumberland needs to be the first to be looked at. Move Gate City and maybe Lebanon to the Cumberland, see if Rye Cove can "get the job done" then. But like there would be a chance in hell those schools would wanna join the CD anyway. Heck, look how far down the toilet sports in Castlewood went after they left the HOGO for the CD.

Yea, your exactly right. Coach Hubbards run through the Cumberland didn't get his team very far after we hit that nice big stumblin block called Haysi. I completely agree with you, our schedule this season was an absolute joke, just like it is every season. We had the best team since Heath Miller's senior year and we pissed it all away. Heck, if we had at least kept Rural Retreat and Grayson county instead of droppin em for St Paul and Twin Springs we coulda been playin GC this saturday. Oh well.

Wow... so much fire and determination on everyone's part. I like it. But, yeah if Rye Cove beats us this Saturday... then it is because we thought we won the game before we got on the field... something Haysi almost let happen to them over at Castlewood this year.... they won't make the same mistake twice I'm afraid... sorry Rye Cove fans.

Haysi seems to me like they play to the competitioin of the team they are playin. Case in point, they played right up with Honaker and pulled it off in the last seconds. They played close with Rye Cove and Castlewood, Honaker absolutely ran all over both teams. Hey VT, would you please quit putting quotes into ALL of your comments???
